For as far as she can remember, fashion has always been part of Melissa's life. Since the yellow chiffon curtains of her costume box that she was wrapping around her body and get it to hold with clothes pins.

At the age of 16th she officially took over her mom's old sewing machine, that had basically never been used. Then, without really knowing how, she started making her own clothes, through high school and college. She studied Art and Photography

at the Cegep de Matane, even though she spent more time on her sewing machine than behind the camera.

After college she moved to Yellowknife where she was coaching figure skating. and teaching french. After two years, she when back to her home town, bought a small car, and left for Vancouver.

She started an Art and Fashion Merchandising course at the John Casablancas Institute and then studied Fashion design at the Vancouver Community College.
After 3 years on the west coast, she came back to Québec, in Montréal, to start, in 2006 two clothing line, Ecliptic Design, a figure skating apparel line, an Melow, a women's wear line.

Helped by STA (Soutien au Travailleur Autonome) and the Mayor's bursury, she opened her own store on St-Denis Street in September 2007, and is now selling throughout the province, her two lines.
